Since 1984 Desert AIDS Project has always looked ahead at how can we best serve those in our community that need our help most. In the beginning our core mission was supporting our community members during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Now in 2020 we are facing another epidemic with COVID-19. But this doesn’t mean that we stop focusing on all of the other facets of our clients’ needs. Today, healthcare means taking care of the entire person - not just their disease.
Whether someone is living with HIV/AIDS or not; in need of Behavioral Healthcare or Social Services; seeking Primary, Dental, or Gender Affirming Care; or requiring career counseling, emergency food, housing, or funding – we’re here for you or someone you know.
With your support, we can provide the care that we all deserve. Please donate today.
Thank you for your generous contribution to DAP.
Taking care of each other during COVID-19 is presenting challenges like never before, but for DAP it feels familiar. AIDS also felt insurmountable when we made the commitment in 1984 to fight for the health and wellbeing of our whole community, but we didn't give up.
We are here to help this community with COVID and while doing we continue to take care of our patients living with HIV/AIDS, to deliver primary care to all who need it and work to prevent continued spread of HIV and STI's.
Together, we can provide the type of care that we all deserve.
